When I first heard about Amanada through WKAP, I decided to stream the album a few times to decide which tracks I needed the answer turned out to be all of them. And then I realized I needed the Dresden Dolls too.

So there’s one more testimony to the awesomeness of the bandcamp model. By listening to them first and several times at that, I was able to commit to the whole thing because I appreciated it.

I think this EP was my happiest purchase of the year — not just for the music itself, but for how pleasant and easy buying it was. I’m a HUGE fan of Bandcamp and have had nothing but good experiences buying from them.

Also, bonus points to AFP/Team Chaos for the transparency in pricing: it really does feel good to know where the money I’m spending is actually going. I hope they keep that up with future releases!

Wow, and wow. I am a music student, going into my 3rd year at my university. Amanda Palmer has been such an inspiration to me as I’ve been preparing my own EP and wondering how in the world I am going to get it out there and market it. She is doing things exactly the way they should be done.

If you haven’t listened to Amanda’s speech to the patronage society, I strongly urge you to go look it up on Youtube. She has the right idea of how artists and fans should interact with one another.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to come into contact with the artists we love and wish to support. Miss Palmer has broken through that barrier and is reaching her hands out lovingly to her fan base, and that is beautiful.

Miss Palmer, thank you. Thank you for being a shining example to musicians, artists, and fans. We are loyal to you because you are loyal to us.

Im not even a huge fan of Amanda’s music, but I am a fan of her brand. The team at AFP has and continues to do a great job with not only Amanda, but also setting perfect examples on how to really DIY. Congrats team and I wish you much continued success.
