Shipping labels and packing slips

If you’re selling merch on Bandcamp, and good gracious are there ever some excellent reasons you should be, you can now print out mailing labels and packing slips right from your orders page.

Just go over to Tools, and click the link to manage your physical orders:

Then, on your orders page, you’ll see all your pending orders, special instructions from your buyers, controls to mark items as shipped, and a new “Packages” dropdown that lets you filter your orders by a specific item. Click the new “print shipping labels and packing slips” link:

Now choose your paper size and label layout, click “Generate PDF,” and print away. You can even generate packing slips, and mini packing lists to help you get everything going to the right place:

Oh, and if you weren’t already aware: you can easily grant a fulfillment partner or underemployed brother-in-law access to your orders page. Look for the link at the top that says “Click here to give a fulfillment partner access to this page.”

  1. This is just great! I remember I had to send an album to Japan some time ago. I ended up copying and pasting the address to Word and print it. My Japanese is not that great, you know. 😉

Now I can do this instantly from the website, which is very convenient. Thanks for implementing this!

  2. That’s cool guys, thanks!
Frankly I really wish you guys would dedicate some energy to a much more important feature, at least for when it comes to keeping the peace between co-writers:

please allow us to split payments to separate paypal accounts! much less headache for non-accounting-inclined musicians, and no mistrust will ever be generated!

  3. this is useful, thanks.

one feature i would love is that when you mark an order as shipped, the buyer will receive an email saying that their order is shipped. currently i have to email them myself which gives out my personal email, which i would rather not do.

  4. It’d be super-mega-awesome next if you could integrate with like the USPS or UPS billing systems and actually print postage. Then I wouldn’t even have to get off the couch.

  5. Will it be possible to print more than one order at once? The website I currently use for this involves individually going onto each order and printing the labels off, which is very time consuming!

    1. Hi Caitlin, you can print as many orders at once as fit on the label type you’ve chosen. We support US letter paper at 2×5 (10 labels per sheet) or 3×10 (30/sheet), or A4 paper at 2×4, 3×7, or 3×8.

  6. This is excellent news! Thank you Bandcamp. You were great to begin with and you keep improving.

  7. Finally! Been asking for this for a while…

    1) Please add the option to print what the customer ordered on the label it’s self. Or a product code for the item. So all you need is a stack of printed labels and you have all the info you need to pack and fulfil them.

    2) I know it would be a massive ball ache but integration with print your own postage would RULE. For me it’s Royal Mail (like what paypal has, though Paypal’s is cumbersome and I normally don’t bother with it.)

But THANK YOU so much for this! (I used to export spreadsheets, edit them in Open Office, save as a special format to preserve special characters, import into a Word mail merge, then save as PDF.)
