Discover Improvements and Subsonic Implementation

Hello! We wanted to let you know about two cool new features we’re bringing to Bandcamp today.

Discover: Filter by artists you follow

You can now filter Discover results to display items from artists you follow. This makes it even easier to keep up with new releases and merch from musicians you love, and dig into the results by tag, location, and format.

Here’s what it looks like when you’re looking at everything new from artists and labels you follow!

Don’t follow any artists yet? Head to Discover or Bandcamp Daily and get some ideas.

Subsonic implementation (beta)

Bandcamp now implements the Subsonic API, which will allow you to stream your collection through the Subsonic clients that we support. (Right now, that’s Amperfy, Feishin, and Submariner. Others may work, you’re welcome to try.)

To get started, go to Fan Settings, scroll down to Subsonic, and generate your credentials. You can then add Bandcamp as a Subsonic or OpenSubsonic server in your Subsonic client with the server URL https://bandcamp.com/api/subsonic.

Once you’re set up, you can stream/download your collection and create/edit playlists (which will show up in your Bandcamp collection on the web/app, too!).

Please note: This is an open beta. Things might be a little slow if you have a big collection.

Thanks for your continued support of independent music!
